The medical department also conducts R&D activities on the evaluation of new blood products and innovative processes:
• evaluation and development of new technologies associated with the collection of blood and its transformation into blood constituents;
• evaluation of methods of decontamination of blood constituents;
• continuous improvement of the quality and safety of different products and practices.
